  1. Bonjour Lance!

You're absolutely right to note that some people in Canada speak French. It is our second official language. English is our first official language. I actually grew up in a town that is about 30 minutes away from the border of Ontario (a primarily English-speaking province) and Quebec (a primarily French-speaking province). It was interesting to grow up in a town that had both English and French influences.

At school we took classes in English, however, all students from Year 1 to Year 10 were required to take French language lessons as well. Some students continued their French studies throughout high school and, ultimately, became fluent in both languages. I really wish that I had done that as I chose to finish my French studies in Year 11 and now I can't remember much of what I learned at all!

How many languages do you speak, Lance? Do you speak more than two? I can see from your awesome website that you are clearly multi-lingual (speak more than one language).

Keep up the great work with your English reading and writing. It's wonderful to see how well you are doing!

    Cheers,
    Rachel

P.S. For the first line of your poem, I think that you may have meant to say, "My heart goes "Boom" and "Boom." Usually our hearts go 'boom' rather than 'boob' but I could be mistaken and you may have meant 'boob.' Please forgive me if I got it wrong. Cheers :)
